M6600 e-port plus docking station

I would like to buy a docking station for my Precision M6600. I believe the Dell part number specified is 430-3312. This one appears to come with the correct 210w powersupply brick. However, it is around $180. My question is, will the docking station (pn 430-3114) for the newer Latitudes and smaller M4500 work? It appears to be the same docking station but with the smaller 130w power supply. Can I use that docking station and just plug my existing 210w powersupply into it? It is closer to $100 in cost. Thanks, Justin

I believe you can do exactly as you suggest. You can even use the lower power PSU in an emergency, but the laptop will clock down to lower speeds and complain about the adapter. I'm not 100% sure on that though. In any case it's still useful to have as a backup, for charging the battery or running on integrated graphics.

For information, the docks I know work with the M6600 are the PR02X and PR03X. Your part numbers look in pictures like a PR02X.
