M90 showing video garbage during startup
Hi,
My M90 recently began showing vertical green dotted lines and green blocks during startup. This problem first occured while I was repairing XP Pro.
I was able to complete an XP repair and for a while everytghing was fine but the next day I had those lines back and I can only boot into Safe Mode now. In regular mode the screen is black.
I have about 20 gigs free on a 60 gig drive.

I just ran the diagonostic and got error 4E53:0119.
I don't have an external monitor.
I used to have a dell desktop that had video and all those cards built into the motherboard. If my video is shot, will I be able to get it fixed without replacing the whole MB?

The video card has failed and must be replaced.
The M90 has a separate video card. It's a proprietary part, but it can be replaced.
You don't say which card you have, but this is the nVidia 7950GTX:

See if the same fault appears on an external monitor. If it does not, you have a display panel going bad.
If it does, you likely have a failing video card - run the Dell diagnostics (F12 at powerup) to verify.

Hi,
Is it 100% definitely a hardware issue? This is a relatively new machine.
Just before this problem occurred I was having XP issues so I reinstalled it. At that time I saw that the dual core was fuctional - previously only 1 core was working.
The next day I got this problem.
Cheers

The issues are unrelated - the video card is indeed faulty.
