Mini display port to hdmi
Hi, I recently purchased a dell xps 13. one of the things i enjoyed doing was using an hdmi out connector to enjoy my movies at 1080p. I never had an issue with this with my other laptops. With the dell xps 13 I have to use the mini display port to hdmi adapter. Thats fine i am able to get it to load up on the tv, looks good. Untill I want to stream sports from mlb.com, nba.com or nfl.com. it looks good on the monitor, but on the tv its a little grainy or even choppy. Even if i have a 1080p movie on my xps 13, it looks good on the screen but the output to the tv its grainy. Is this an issue with the adapter, settings in the laptop, or is the adapter just not able to process it fast enough?
I needed to purchase a tablet as well, was looking into the xps 12 but will not have any part of that until i can find out why this is happening.
Thank in advance.

Mini DisplayPort's HDCP does not allow FULL HD playback of certain DRM-encrypted content. This is a limitation of GPU and Decrypting Speed. While the DisplayPort specification is capable of supporting digital audio older systems are unable to provide an audio signal through the Mini DisplayPort as well as HD 1080 Video. To work around this issue, some third-party manufacturers have created dual or triple headed adapters that get power for the adapter from a USB port, video from the Mini DisplayPort, and audio from either the USB port or the optical out port. INTEL HD Graphics is NOT a high end GPU.
