I have the same issue WINPE10 windows 10 x64, in win PE I have to use the keyboard to select the task sequence/name machine etc. Has dell provided an update?
Have you guys had any luck with this? I have a 5480 and I'm running into the same issue. Touchpad not working in PE. I also tried the Win10 PE and no luck.
Unfortunately No and Following on support case that also didn't help !! I am not sure if dell really is looking to fix the problems that we all face and are serious about it ..
If any one receive any updated or fix please share us in this forum with all .
The workaround I am using is to create a package with the IO Driver and then making our boot disk (flash drive) have a pre-start command with the installation and then including the package
Hi, I'm also struggling to get TouchPad working for 5480/7280 models in WinPE 3.0 (Windows 7 based), to deploy Windows 7, we're not wanting to use WinPE 10 yet as that has other problems for us.
6th gen processor
Included NIC, touchpad and chipset drivers in WinPE, checking devices for some reason they appear as "PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller" but change name to the correct when restarted "Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller - 9D60" (61 and 62), but still didn't get the touchpad working.

"\\..\Drivers\DellLatitude\E5580\IO\SetupSerialIO.exe -s"

Its a known issue see this KB - www.dell.com/.../touchpad-not-working-on-latitude-xx80-with-skylake-processors-and-windows-7-installed
I have win10 so i inject this first -
Then inject your touchpad drive found in the cab family driver
