No. Problem is not in the driver. In the device manager there is no webcam shown as separate device. Webcam works in chat windows.
When I was tried to download Webcam Central I placed my tag number and after some time there was notice that Dell doesn't support N5010. Than I download it separately but there is no anything useful and it won't work.
Did you use the Dell Download Manager when you attempted to download R230103.exe, if so download and install ccleaner. Close all browser windows. Run the cleaner in ccleaner and proceed once agian to download R230103.exe do not use the Dell Download Manager and instead select download via internet browser; there are major problems with the Dell download manager...
Try downloading the Dell Webcam Central Image and burn it to a DVD. Then try to install it. Once installed, click on ? and then click on check for software update.
Let me know if that works. If not, I can check around to see if there is version for your system.
N5010 Windows 7 64-bit, correct?
Using Internet Explorer, did you try going to My Dell Downloads :: Login, use the same email address and password you use here, click on add system and download the application from there?
Thank you, this version works with my webcam. I didn't try external cam. This is more important.
The only problem or so called problem is that in this version there is no part for recording movies if someone moves in front of cam in case of watching the space.

I think it should work, does the webcam show up in the device manager? I think there is a problem with the driver or camera.
I put the Dell Webcam Centre on an inspiron 6400 which doesn't even have an integrated webcam, it worked with a logitech USB cam.

No supported webcam driver detected. Please install the webcam driver using the Dell Resource CD and launch webcam center again.
But it won't work. Dell does not support N5010 with this software and this is the most stupid thing.

That is why I'm angry at Dell...stupid behavior.

What's the difference between instaling from hard disk or DVD?
I have installed Dell Webcam Central v 2.01.26 and there is nowhere option for checking software update.
Yes, N5010 with separate DVD with WIN7 PRO 64-bit. I've tried before with WIN 7 64-bit Ultimate but no difference.
Yes I was on downloading site but after testing the answer was "Service Tag is not supported. "
So, there is no hope that it will work with this web cam installed on N5010.
I also installed Hama Webcam AC-150 and it works with it's own software but also not working in Dell Webcam Central

As I said try using R230103.exe. It works fine on my Inspiron 6400 with a USB logitech webcam which is not a supported system...

There should be.
There is a record Video tab and a capture (both highlighted in red).
