I am unable to hear audio sound, i tried to update the sound, audio, video controller but in device manager i didnt get the audio controller.
In troubleshooting its showing message like "Hardware changes might not have been detected".
I am using Dell Inspiron N5110 having i5 Processor ,640GB hard disk o Windows 7 Home(64bit).

Hi nikhilpatil28,
Welcome to Dell community!
May I know if any changes were made in the computer before the issue started?
Ensure the “Windows Installer” service is enabled:
Next, update the chipset drivers. Refer the following link for the chipset drivers: http://dell.to/19m4HoM
After that, restart the computer and try installing the audio drivers. Refer the following link for audio drivers: http://dell.to/GzYf6P
If the issue persists, try updating the BIOS. Refer the following link to download the A11 version BIOS: http://dell.to/19i1hJw
Irrespective of the current BIOS version, try updating it using the above one. Ensure that the battery has at least 15% charge remaining and also connect the AC Adapter while updating the BIOS.
Note: Do NOT power off the computer during BIOS update as it can lead to hardware failure.
Please post the results.

Hi Kalyan,
Thanks for your quick reply.
The problem happened because of game software. Before installing game software it was running well. I feel that because of game software which i have installed. but the moment when I felt that Audio is not coming i uninstalled that software.
I have done all changes whichever you have suggested like i kept the "Windows Installer" in automatic mode.
I have updated the chipset driver, BIOS (A11 version). But even though while installing audio drivers i am facing the same problem.
please have a look over the snapshot what i have attached.
Also in System device in Device Manager i am getting Caution symbol for "High Definition Audio Controller” saying "the device cannot start. And The device isn’t using any resources because it has a problem”. I have attached the error message highlighted by red colour.
Can you suggest the other troubleshooting for audio device.

Hi nikhilpatil28,
Try installing audio drivers using the following link: http://dell.to/17Px4PG
If the issue persists, we can try System Restore. Refer link for instructions: http://dell.to/18L8sHt
Select a date prior to the day issue started during System Restore.
Please let me know the results.
