Normal fan operating temps?

Hey everyone. I have an m1330, and i was wondering what the normal temperatures are for the fans to be on. As it is now, it seems the fan comes on at around 33, and shuts off around 28 or 29. Is that right? It seems like the fan could be off for much longer than that. Also, what is a normal fluctuation in the temp? The fan seems to just always come on every 10 ro 15 minutes, even when I am not using the computer.

I am using i8kfangui to read the temps, but it isn't controlling the fans. Thanks a lot!
