On screen keyboard

Question

I am unable to shut down the on screen keyboard.  I uncheck it and usally you can click on apply, but it just says cancel.  So everytime I have to close the box,  but it always comes up.  I have windows 7 Dell coreI7 laptop

This didnt work.  I also hope I didnt download some updates that should not have been downloaded.

Please follow the below mentioned steps that might help you.

1) Press windows key and the letter U simultaneously.

2) Click( use the computer without a mouse or keyboard)

3) Uncheck use on screen keyboard.
