PSA Boot Method

Question

I have a Alienware M17X, i'm having problems with RAID Volume, so i was told by dell support via email to start a PSA Boot method, i was told to press and hold the FN key on keyboard then while still holding FN press and hold power botton then release both, but my problem is if release them soon the normal windows boots up and if i hold the 2 bottons just a little longer the system switches off. when does the PSA boot methon kicks in? am i doing something wrong?. I need help as dell support is expecting my email back with the result of the test. many thx.

I don't know what the PSA boot method is, but if you need to run the PSA tests (pre-boot system assessment) restart the computer and when you see the Alienware logo screen immediately press the F12 key, then select "diagnostics" from the menu.

If the PSA boot method is not the PSA tests then try posting on the Laptop General Hardware Board. Probably someone there will know.
