Possible solution for the many Nvidia driver issues & Win 10 that are popping up here
Good news guys.
For last three weeks or so I have been without my nvidia card in my inspiron 17 7737. At the time I updated the driver from nvidua site. Next my card disappeared from device manager. It was now an unknown device. I tried windows update, that failed. I tried different earlier versions of nvidia card drivers, that didnt work. I tried various utilities and proceedures that we all know to reset windows update, no joy
Then I stumbled on the link below .. Its a .bat file that cleans up windows update in windows 10 good and proper
I ran the bat file script at this link in command prompt. Download, unzip and right click, run bat file in admin mode.
This does a good cleanout of the update files on your laptop.
Reboot after doing this. Then run windows update and allow it to pickup and install the nvidia driver and any other updates.
This time it installed all, reboot and I have my nvidia card back again at last .. yippee
Hope this works for you guys. May sort other windows 10 related nvidia issues that are posted here too.
Cheers Aidan

The only Q now -
Should I leave well enough alone and DO NOT attempt upgrading to the latest driver at the Nvidia site?
The windows update above installed v369.09
The new driver is now available at the Nvidia site - v375.57
