Power adapter selection & cross-compatibility
I'm trying to get a universal (AC/plane/car) power supply and/or external battery to use with my 8600. I'm having an impossible time finding compatible plug tips. Targus is the only one that lists a plug for the 8600, but their power supply options aren't my first choice.
I got the impression from one site that the following systems use the same power tip:
Inspiron 8500, 8600, 300m, 400m, 500m, 600m
Latitude D400, D500, D600, D800, X300
M60
Anybody know if this is correct?
The Valence nCharge external batteries don't list even any of the systems above that may be compatible. Anybody else make a similar external battery (thin, sits under the notebook)? Ideas on universal power supplies?
