Welcome to the Community. This system has a wireless switch on the right side of the laptop ( it has a wireless tower pic next to it ), use the switch to disable and enable the wireless on your computer.
I have an m4600. When the switch on the right to turn on the wireless it will also turn on the Bluetooth. At least mine does. If you do not want it to do that , both can be turned off (deactivated) in the Bios settings.
