I cant believe Dell has done such a mediocre job with this laptop ... This whole thing is such pain to switch graphics card ....and options are not avilble for most of the things...no option in BIOS to select graphics card....no other utility is showing ATI 7730 (except Device Manager) ... the worst part is I didnt even got the ATI Radeon Sticker to put it on my Laptop .... .They said the sticker didnt come.....

DELL and ATI should really work a solution out for this problemmm !!

Hi KamranNaeem,

Welcome to the Community,

Try this driver AMD Radeon HD 7730M driver : www.dell.com/.../driverdetails

If it does not get installed please post back the exact error message(if any) you get while trying to install the driver.

Also post your full system model.

Hi,I too was facing this problem from the date of my purchasing this laptop dell inspiron 7520 in march 2013.I am unable to find that amd is working or not upto this day.I use very high end applications for music composition and video editing which will be some around 50 gb each and high end games as well.In the earlier I used Dell XPS 15 laptop which have almost same configuraton as this but comes with 2 gb Nvidia Geforce gt 540m.As I played and worked on that laptop I found the difference between our laptop and that xps.Actually as ours is latest it should be better than that one while using applications. But from march upto now I adjusted with that with a lot of dissatisfaction.but day by day my work became harder and the laptop is not upto what it should be actually so I started solving this issue by contacting the dell support and by googling. In my first research it was the issue with the windows 8 on which the Microsoft is working on and even the dell experts confirmed that.So obviously there is no problem with Windows 7.So I decided to install it by taking away every part of the Windows 8.But today I am just checking what is the actual problem again casually by testing the graphic card is working or not by taking the GTA 4 game as the source.I tried each and every setting changing the resolution etc.But nothing has changed much.If the amd card is switching or not can be found if the benchmark test on that game should show approximately 50 fps or 60 fps.And I remembered one point that while I was using dell xps 15 earlier it was a 1366*768 resolution laptop but ours was full hd 1920*1080 one so I kept the settings of those which I had used long back but still not yet found it was switching or not. Then I tried this thing.I updated the amd drivers and changed every setting of the laptop to the highest level which are responsible for a application running important:battery to high performance mode especially and there we go we won.touched 48 fps and seen the real power of our laptop finally and even you put full hd resolution setting for a game or application it is touching 26 fps.Actually I dont like giving reviews and posting answers to the unsolved questions. But this one OMG I am damn happy.I thought that I had chosen the wrong laptop and every buyer of this laptop thought that but we were wrong.

Thank you for you patience for reading all this stuff. But I think you can understand my feelings right now.I am on hyper cloud 9:-):-):-):-):-)

Hi,

I have the same laptop and it works really well on most games but the problem is Skyrim, it only registers my Intel HD graphics and fails to launch even on low settings as it doesn't recognise my AMD card. I understand this is rather late but I only just bought the laptop. Skyrim is the only game I am having problems with and it is rather annoying! It is easier for you to contact me at:  Email id removed per privacy policy> if that is possible?

Thankyou,

Jacob
