NVIDIA or ATI Dedicated GPU's are inherently MUCH FASTER than ANY INTEL Integrated Video.

If your game runs slow as molasses then its probably using INTEL.

Any Claim that the Core I5, I7 INTEL HD3000 and INTEL HD4000 are as good or better than

Geforce 555, Radeon 6770 is false.

That depends on the game itself.  Almost all games have configuration utilities that will allow you to adjust settings for the game.  Typically you can start the configuration utility from the startup menu of the game.  If you have further questions on how to bring up the configuration or setup utilities look to the operating manuals of each specific game.

Once in the configuration menu you should be able to see if the game is using the Nvidia GPU or the Intel GPU.  If it has the Intel GPU selected, that can certainly explain why you are having problems with the games.

I am a bit confused regarding the problem.  If you are having the problem with the Intel GPU while playing games, which is to be expected, the games should run but you will likely have to run them on the lowest settings.

If the problem is running them with the Nvidia GPU, then I can certainly understand your frustration.  I assume that you have gone over my post on Nvidia Optimus from the following link.

One thing I would like for you to check, after configuring a game to run at high performance in the Nvidia Control panel. Have you run the setup for the game to check what video card the game is running? Please let me know if your games and 3D programs detect the Nvidia GPU.

I know that both Crysis2 and GTA 4 have had issues with Optimus in the past.  I would certainly suggest contacting the software vendors for these games and see if they have any suggestions or patches.

I also know that these games are available through Steam, which complicates the issue even further.  You will also need to configure Steam to run at high performance.

Games installed via Valve Steam - Nvidia Optimus

Default STEAM Executable File Location: for STEAM Applications:

The executable file is located in the following directory:

C:\Program Files (X86)\Steam\Steamapps

Games will be located in either Common or the account name folder.

Special Instructions for Games Installed via Steam:

Once you have installed your Steam game, create a shortcut from your Steam games list. Once the shortcut appears on the desktop, follow the instructions below.

Viewing Existing Optimus Settings for a Specific Program:

I hope that this helps.

Dear Mr. Terry B,

I have recently got my new Dell core i7 N5110 laptop.. and i have 2 video cards.. Intel HD graphics 3000 and Geforce Nvidia 525M... i have a problem.. i can't play my favorite game " Pro Evo Soccer " with Nvidia ... although it's set as the default V card.. i always choose nvidia when i play the game and the performance is still bad .. same as the performance of Intel HD graphics 3000.. both have the same quality ( even if i choose the other V card .. the exact same quality i get when i choose Nvidia which is very very bad )

PS there's no option in the game to play it with Nvidia.. the only place where i can choose is when i start it.. (right click ---> play with Nvidia ) and it doesn't work..
