RAM Question: Crucial Scanner vs. Computer Manual
Hi,
I have been wanting to upgrade the RAM in my XPS M1530, and in order to see the maximum I can install, have used Crucial.com to scan my system and have looked at my computer's manual. My question comes from the fact that the manual and Crucial's scanner have different maximum RAM amounts. The obvious answer to me would be to follow the manual for my computer but as I have heard Crucial is accurate, I am not sure what to do. If anyone has experience with this, I would greatly appreciate some input. Thank you!

SInce Crucial will guarantee compatibility with no risk, you have nothing to lose with their recommendation. The only thing is that to use more than 4G you must have a 64-bit operating system (the system will have shipped with a 32-bit OS).
