Sorry for the delayed response as I was on my weekly off’s. The Dell Inspiron 7520 has 2 SODIMM slots. The system accepts a memory capacity ranging from 2GB, and 4GB. The memory type accepted is DDR3 1333 MHz for Sandy Bridge Processors or DDR3 1600 MHz for Ivy Bridge Processors only. The computer supports a maximum of 8GB of memory when installed with two 4GB DIMMs. Please private message us with system service tag so that I can check the system configuration and let you know memory needed. Corsair DDR3 8GB Vengeance 1600Mhz memory will be compatible with your system if it came with Ivy Bridge Processor.

I came across this thread when I was looking for answers. Well as I had researched and confirmed from dell support that the corsair vengeance is compatible with the Dell Inspiron 15r SE. I wanted to know is the new corsair ram compatible with the old ram originally present in dell laptop?

Will I face any problems?

I have dell inspiron 17R SE 7720 i7-3920XM with 16GB RAM and three hard drive slot.please can this model support 32GB RAM like dell precision with the same cpu model.dell precision support 32GB RAM

The Precisions that support 32G have four memory sockets.  Yours has two  -- though 8G is the supported max, some report that 16 will work.  32 will not - the system will not support 16G soDIMMs.
