Reformatting Latitude D610

I have an old Latitude D610 that was given to me by the Dept. of Rehabilitation.  I need to reformat the HD.  After researching I see that there is no recovery partition.  I have NO disks and was planning to download the drivers from the website here.  My problem is I can't seem to get to where I need to go in order to start reformatting.  I am desperate for assistance here.  If I need a disk/disks can you please tell me where to find them in your response?  I am disabled and work primarily from my bed.  This laptop is vital to me.

PS...I have reformatted many a PC HD but never a laptop.
