Restoring Bios from backup

I have a Inspirion 1501.

The Phoenix WinPhlash program says it creates a backup of the Bios when it updates the Bios.  In fact the Help file states:

"You cannot upgrade (flash) your BIOS without backing up your current BIOS. If something goes wrong, you can always restore the old one using the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your system."

I'm having trouble finding the instructions on how to restore the BIOS from the backup copy.

Could someone point me in the right direction?
