I am sorry to read that you are having this problem.  When you mentioned mouse, are you using an external mouse or are you talking about the buttons on the touchpad?

If you are using an external USB mouse, try a different mouse and see if the problem continues.  If so then you likely have a program or utility that is causing the mouse buttons to not work.  You may want to try msconfig and clean boot troubleshooting to determine what program is causing the problem.

If you are talking about the touchpad, and you tested with an external mouse and the mouse worked fine, then it is likely a defect with the touchpad and may need a service.
