Service Tag and Battery

Okay here's the thing, apart from many other things wrong with my laptop :/

today my laptop stopped charging my battery (just few days old battery, it's almost brand new), the battery icon in task-bar is showing the message "plugged in, not charging"

These are the steps already taken by me

1. Checked Quickset for its feature to disable the charging

2. Rebooted

3. Uninstalled and re-installed the quickset

4.Booted live Ubuntu from USB but even in Ubuntu battery was not charging

5. Checked Charge Behavior in BIOS, already set to enable

Then I noticed something different, the service tag showing in BIOS does not match my laptop's service tag, What is even more bizarre is that service tag changes itself whenever I re-insert my charger -_-

I am attaching some pictures of my BIOS home page, so you people have a look, please tell me if I could repair this myself,.

My battery is already at 0%, therefore I cannot use my laptop without AC power and also, due to this I cannot upgrade/downgrade/alter my BIOS either. :(

BTW my laptop is N4110 14R, earlier 2011 model (more information, if needed, will be provided by me).

Please suggest...

I suspect you've got a bad mainboard.

In the "Main" tab of BIOS menu, there is a listing "AC Adapter type" and if you are asking about this, then yes, my laptop is recognising the adapter, the listing is showing "65 W".

F2 at powerup.  Does the system detect the AC adapter or is it showing "unknown"?

My gosh, you mean to say, my laptop is paper weight. Damn, is the dell really that bad?

I know I'm being rude but frankly I was especially told by many people I know personally,  not to buy from Dell :(

EJN63, thank you for your feedback though

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to revive it, though I will only read your messages in the morning now since its too late at my place

Once again, thank you

And good night
