I suggest booting the system while tapping F2 to enter the BIOS. Select "POST Behavior" then "keypad (Embedded)". You should have two options available, "FN Key Only" and "By Num Lock". Try the opposite to what is selected and see if you continue to have the problems with the keys not working.
If that doesnt help then you will likley need to have the keyboard replaced.
Hi. I am having a problem with some of the keys on my keyboard. I haven't used the laptop for more than a week, it just stayed in my room and when I opened it, the letters A D H and Z are not working. I tried restarting it but nothing happened. I don't know what to or how to fix it. I didn't do anything and I am getting frustrated about this. :( please help. My laptop is Dell Vostro 5460. I bought it last year and sadly the warranty has already expired.

Try an external keyboard - if it works, replace the internal one with a new keyboard.
