Strange Crackling noise Problem

So whenever I play certain video games (Usually newer ones with better graphics: GTA 4, Worms Revolution, Skyrim) I get this strange crackling noise. For about the first 10 minutes of playing, everything runs fine. Then it starts to make this noise, and it goes on and off, and while it's on, it slows down the game severely. I am not totally incompetent with computers, but I need help on what to do for this. 

I have tried these things:
Used CCleaner to clean my computer
Used Regcleaner to clean my registry
Tried various fixes for the games specifically
Tried to speed up my PC (Which seems to make the games run faster, but it doesn't fix the noise)
Cleared a lot of space on my PC
I have tried many other things over time, even used system restore. But nothing that I do works . I can still play older games which is nice, but I would like to fix this.
