Hello Montgomery1996,

In order to assist you further, I would like to know if you are able to boot the computer into normal mode. Also help me understand the issue you’re facing with the computer that made you do a Factory Restore.

**Note: Please ensure to back up all the data from your computer before performing the Factory Restore as it would erase everything from your computer.

In case you are able to boot the computer to windows, please try the following steps to perform a complete Factory Restore:
-- Click Start.
-- In Search program and files tab type in Dell Data Safe Local Backup.
-- Once the application opens,
-- Click Restore.
-- Click Restore the computer to its original factory state.
-- Click Restart at the bottom of the window.
It would start the complete pc restore automatically and take the computer to its original factory state.

Hope this helps!

So that worked well, except the Microsoft Office 2010 won't load.  The message is

Set cannot find Proofing.en-us\proof.fr\proof.cab

I can find the folder for Proofing.en-us\proof.fr but there is no files in the folder (proof.cab is missing)

Hello Montgomery1996,

Thank you for replying. I am glad that is factory restore was successful. However the issue that you are facing with Microsoft Office, I would like to know few details:
-- Did you already installed MS Office 2010?
-- When exactly are you getting the error message?
-- Any other error message or screen that comes up other than the "Set cannot find Proofing.en-us\proof.fr\proof.cab"?
-- If MS Office is installed, from where did you install it?

Please write back with the details, would be glad to assist you further.

factory restore was done.

went to start menu, clicked on Microsoft Office 2010

Input the Product key (it validated it)

then i get the "Setup cannot find Proofing.en-us\proof.fr\proof.cab"

It also says "browse to a valid installation source, and then click OK.

I can find  Proofing.en-us\proof.fr\ but there is nothing in the proof.fr folder.

This is where I am stuck.
