Studio 17 (1749) CD Eject
Hello,
Are there drivers or software that are needed for the Touch-Sensitive Multimedia Controls ???
I re-installed Windows 7 (for a cleaner start!)
All of the Touch-Sensitive keys work but the CD/DVD eject.... will only work as Laptop is booting (but not in Windows)
Other programs in Windows will eject the CD..............................
Thanks Eric

I have the same problem, just received my laptop and eject buttons dont work. I see other threads on here regarding other dell laptops showing the same problem and dell dont seem to be interested in sorting it
I am returing mine on Monday

If you formatted the drive, make sure you install the QuickSet software to get the eject button working.

I completely re-installed Windows 7 Ultimate, downloaded all the latest drivers from dell and installed them and now its all working fine. It was a nightmare though at first.

Glad you didn't need to return it since it was a user issue and not a Dell issue.
