The Studio™ 1737 can support up to 8GB of memory ( DDR2 800 MHz ). However you will need to install a 64bit operating system if you wish to upgrade to 8GB.
You can add up to 4GB with a 32bit operating system.
This system has two user-accessible slots for installing memory. Both are stacked on top of each other under the access panel on the bottom of the system.
Welcome to the Community. The Studio 1737 system supports dual-channel DDR2 SDRAM with a memory speed of 667 Mhz or 800 Mhz. In a Dual Channel configuration, the memory solution allows the system to have twice the memory bandwidth while using the same memory technology. Memory modules must be installed as a perfectly matched pair to take advantage of the dual-channel memory bus. If not a matched pair, the system's memory bus operates in a single-channel configuration. The maximum memory you can go on this system is 8 GB, so 4 GB per stick. 8GB Memory Supported by 64-bit OS only. Both are stacked on top of each other under the access panel on the bottom of the system.

Hallo,
What would happened if I put additional 4gb stick not 800mhz but 1300mhz or 1600mhz?
Thanks for the answer!
