Touchpad problem with windows 8, Dell Inspiron N5110

Hi,

I have just upgraded my system to windows 8. I have installed the latest touchpad driver for windows 8, but i am having serious problem. Suppose when i try to move pointer towards left or right, it does not go there, just jump around and very shaky. Sometimes it causes zoom in/zoom out instead of going left/right.

I also tried the old driver, but still same problem.

I noticed that this problem is due to power cable, everything works fine if i unplug it. Please tell solution.

Waiting for response.

Thanks.

Hi the_don46,

I would suggest you to flash the BIOS and then touchpad driver to check for issue resolution

Dell Inspiron N5110 BIOS                           : http://dell.to/14fAtSj

Dell Inspiron N5110 Touchpad driver            : http://dell.to/16wI3zd

Please let me know if this helps.

Hi the_don46,

I would advise you to download and install the ‘TouchFreeze’ software from the link below and check for issue resolution.
