Turning off hyperthreading on i7-2670QM
I have a new Dell laptop with a i7-2670QM processor. Some of my applications run on a single core so I was not happy to see that the system is running at 12.5% CPU usage because of hyperthreading.
Does anyone know whether it is safe to turn hyperthreading off? If anyone has done this? Does it cause problems?
