USB Mass Storage Devices not displaying in My Computer
After upgrading to XP Pro SP2 my USB storage devices have stopped showing up in 'My Computer'
When one plugs in the devices, they are recognized by Windows and installed. They show up in the device manager without any errors and are enabled in the regeistry.
When going through disk management it is possible to assgin a drive letter (there are no letters assigned to it before) and explore the drive. It still won't show in 'My Computer'
The drive works fine in other PC's. There are no networked drives mapped (I'm not on a network)
I've tried in vain for a solution to this problem and it seems that there is nothing out there.
I would imagine it's a driver issue, however even when copying over the older drivers from my GF's laptop running an older version of Pro, the drivers still reflect that they are the newer versions. How can one install older driver versions?
Any help would be apreciated!

Alas no joy. What strikes me as odd, is that although I have replaced the USBSTOR driver with an older version, when the laptop reinstalls everything it's still the newer driver..
I can live with the fact that I have to go into disk management to view the device, but it's irksome. Oh and the drive (e:\) still shows up in Adobe Bridge! even when not plugged in and after a reboot.. Strange..
