Upgrade RAM
I have a laptop Dell vostro v131, with 2GB RAM, bus 1333, nanya technology.
Now I want to upgrade to 4GB. but do not buy the company's Nanya RAM => so I can buy a 2GB ram of other companies (eg, Kington) installed parallel to the old ram or not?
I have questions so, wish be answered.

Hello Tuananh1987,
Dell Vostro v131 was shipped with DDR3 1333MHz SO DIMM 204-pin memory modules. As you have said, that you have 2GB installed on your computer and want to upgrade it to 4GB using Kingston memory, I would say you can. However the 2GB memory that is already installed should be on one memory slot. Also ensure that the Kingston memory is also a 2GB DDR3 1333MHz SO DIMM 204-pin memory and compatible with your computer.

You can use other vendors' RAM, yes. Avoid the "value" RAM - like Kingston's Value RAM and you should be OK. Crucial sells guaranteed to work RAM for most systems, Dell included.
You can install up to 8G in this system (going beyond 4G requires a 64-bit operating system).

You only have two slots for RAM so you will have to buy a 4 gb kit of RAM (2gb X 2) to get 4gb installed in
your computer.

means that, do not use RAM kingston?
such is possible to use 2 ram of 2 manufacturers different.
So, I used Kingmax 2GB RAM installed in 2nd RAM slot, there is or not ?
