Using Mandriva Linux One 2008

Question

Hi friends,   I recently purchased a Dell XPS 1530 laptop (Windows Vista Home Premium, Intel T7250, 3 GB RAM). I tried booting my system with a Mandriva Linux One 2008 Spring CD. My system hangs after booting up. When I check the boot log in the verbose mode I see quite a lot of instances of the 'iwl3945 Hardware gone??' message. Can anyone throw some light to solve this problem?   I want to go for a dual boot with Windows Vista and Linux. Please share any suggestions on the Linux distro I should be using and ways to get the dual boot done.   Thanks in advance.   -regards, Mrigs

Thanks ForTiLLian for the link. I went through it and was able to resolve the iwl3945 problem. But now after the complete booting my system hangs with a blank screen.

Please note I am trying to run the Live version.

Any suggestions are welcome.
