Vostro 1400 Memory Card Reader

The Ricoh reader must be broken...it reports the memory chip is write protected, which is not the case.   Tried with multiple chips, no change.  Replaced driver, no change.  Is the Ricoh reader replaceable, and if so, how to I order a new one and get instructions?
