Ahmm

I really doubt if its because of a third party memory. I am not sure if its due to that.

Keeping in mind with the original memory the machine is working fine. definitely the hardware is fine.

I would recommend to go with a Dell Memory.

If you need help with part#, do let us know.

Hello,

Does the machine works fine with 1 memory module and on original memory ?

If you wiggle the screen does the distortion tend to vanish. How does it shows up on external monitor.?

Thanks for the quick reply!

Machine doesn't work with only 1 new module turned on, I get BSOD BAD_POOL_HEADER.

Machine works fine with 1 original memory module (2GB) .

Machine restarts in a loop imidiatelly after "Starting Windows" with mixed modules 2GB + 4GB.

I am not sure if I know how to "wiggle" the screen, If you implying to connection problem between laptop monitor and laptop, I can assure you that everything is OK.

I do not have additional monitor to test how it shows up on it.

Regards

Hi,
What is the model of RAM module you purchased. Provide us the part# or model number if any.
Have to check the compatibility as well.
