Web PC Recovery Error Mess: File not found - C:\dell.sdr

I used the recovery cd to wipe the HD (which is the only choice on the Dell WebPC Recovery CD that I got with the computer) after a Holye card-game CD caused major problems.  I have used the Recovery CD before and it worked just fine.

After the recovery cd ran I got this dos message>>>

File not found - C:\dell.sdr
Does DRIVERS specify a file name
or directory name on the target
(F = file , D = directory)?

I don't know what to select, the F for file or the D for directory?  Your help is greatly appreciated.

I ran into the same problem. Choosing D for Directory should work, but it doesn't. The Driver directory is the last thing to load when performing a restore. The files are on the outside of the CD which is subject vibration. If you get the error that it can't find dell.sdr then you may have to reboot the system and try again. Make sure the CD is clean and the WebPC is on a stable surface. Having a small, light weight footprint and a laptop CDROM drive in this system lends itself to vibration which causes the error. I reloaded the CD a second time and it went through without the error.

I still had to point it to the directories for the NIC/modem. The video driver didn't load, so I had to run the executable in the video driver folder. c:\drivers\video\intel3.3\graphics\setup.exe
