What happened to the ALPS touchpad interface? It changed and I don't like it!

Latitude E5530 Win 7 64 bit

My Dell (alps) touchpad started acting up recently, and I went to the interface in the control panel and it would NOT open.  I found the file in program files, and it looks like this: 

The older one was MUCH better, IMO! 

SO, how do I get the BETTER one back?????

And WHY will the properties not open when I click on the control panel???
