What is the BIOS keyboard layout?

Hi everybody,

I just entered a BIOS admin password for my Precision M4500, but then I tried to enter it on the next reboot and it keeps telling me that my password is wrong.

I believe this is a mix up between keyboard layouts. My Precision M4500 has a French keyboard layout (AZERTY-FR), when I entered my BIOS password, I noticed a "bip" sound when I hit "Shift+é" which is supposed to be a "2". I tried several combinations bewteen QWERTY-US and AZERTY-FR switching this "2" with a 2 or a @, but it doesn't work at all.

So my question is : what is the keyboard layout when we set  the password? Is there any forbidden character that might have caused a "bip"? what is the keyboard layout when we enter the password to unlock the BIOS?
