WiFi Signal keeps switching

Hello there,

the problem i have is with the wifi signals.

I have two signals from both the same router.

1 signal is significantly weaker then the other .

The first connection is only 2 bars while the Secondr connection is 4 bars.

The problem i have, is my computer continuesly  pick ups the weaker signal automatically, while avoiding the second signal .

When i do click on the second connection it is able to stay connected, but only for a short period of time  roughly 5 minutes.

Is there anything i can do?

Hi Thomas226,

Ideally there should be one wireless Network, since there are two networks I recommend you to check in the Wireless network page.  Click Control Panel à Network and Internet à Network and Sharing Center and then click Manage Wireless Network.

Please delete all the networks listed in this window.  Next select Available networks and connect to your network connection.
Note: Before deleting the networks, make sure you have Network/WEP key handy.

In case the issue persists, update wireless driver from the link below:

Enter the system service tag, click Submit and select the Operating system to get the drivers. Restart the system and check.

Revert for further queries.
