XPS 12 upgrade

Hi

How can we upgrade our recent purchase of XPS 12

current specs are 4gb RAM, 128SSD

As per Dell website it can hold upto 8GB and 256SSD, we did try to purchase but

Vendors are only have the 4GB/128SSD model

if upgradeable by this time, is 8GB/256SSD still the limit?

thanks

The solid state drive is a standard, mini-mSATA card - you can upgrade that fairly easily.

The RAM (memory) cannot be upgraded after purchase - it is hard soldered to the mainboard.  While 8G may have been an option at purchase, the only way to upgrade is to replace the entire system board, including the processor -- easily several hundred dollars (and will void your warranty, if that's a consideration).
