XPS 13 9343 wireless display

One of the recommended downloads for Windows 10 is the Intel WiDi Application but when I run it, it gives an error that the platform is not compatible with Intel WiDi?

Needless to say WiDi doesn't work for me. I believe all my drivers are up to date according to the Dell Command Update application. Any suggestions as to how I can resolve this?

Thanks!

kissanej,

Not sure if this helps or not...

Installing My Wi-Fi Technology Intel® My WiFi Technology is supported only on the Windows 7 operating system with driver versions 13.1.1 to Intel drivers 14.3

New program is called Intel® My WiFi Dashboard Intel My WiFi Dashboard delivers ultimate Wi-Fi portability for chatting, transferring files, creating personal hotspots, and syncing between devices over Wi-Fi Direct. Intel My WiFi Dashboard for Microsoft Windows 7 is a free app for Intel® Centrino® Wireless products. Intel has Windows 8 drivers available.

Thank you for the reply but as I said the intel WiDi application is in my list of recommended downloads for Windows 10 on the XPS 13 drives site here. Not sure why it would only support Windows 7 as the XPS 13 was released with Windows 8 I believe?

kissanej,

Dell Drivers and Downloads show that there are drivers for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.

I see for Windows 8.1...

The difference between the two different programs that Intel offered for WiDi.

Thanks once again but not sure what the relevance of Windows 8.1 is? These are all Windows 10 applications I'm talking about.

kissanej,

I know something with Windows 10 does not make complete sense. If I try installing certain items, it thinks I have Windows 8 64-bit except I have done the upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Did you try the drivers? Try them in the Compatibility mode? Trying to install older drivers in the compatibility mode helps with the drivers installing.

Did you try Intel® My WiFi Dashboard? Did you try these drivers in the Compatibility mode? These look like Windows 7 and 8 drivers.

Not sure if this would also help...

I've been able to connect WiDi by reverting back to Intel graphics driver package 15.33.38.64.4252 (Graphics driver version 10.18.10.4252).
