XPS 13 L321X, Graphics mess up after installing Windows 10?
Dell Support lists this XPS 13 L321X as tested and ready for Windows 10, so I installed the upgrade and there was an issue with the display. The display randomly goes whack (picture attached.) I installed the latest systems updates, drivers, etc, and the display still goes whack. I then installed a fresh Windows 10 OS, all updates, drivers, etc...and the display continues to randomly go whack.
What can I do to resolve this? The issue does not happen when the system runs Windows 7 and affects multiple XPS 13 L321Xs that we have.

Hi,
Okay, this is different. Our site shows it compatible with Win10 but the Intel website shows that the Intel HD Graphics 3000 series (for the Core i7 & i5) processors is not supported. We don't have a video driver listed on the downloads page for the L321x under the Win10 category.
That leads me to think that Windows 10 has a native driver that will run those graphics. What driver version are you currently running on those XPS L321x systems?
Have you tried deleting the driver and rebooting the system (keep it offline) and seeing if Windows installs a driver? Win10 may have an appropriate driver for it. We can hope it's that easy.
To better help me troubleshoot please click on my Dell Todd username and send me a private message with the Dell Service Tag of one of those systems so I can pull it up to look at. Please keep all discussions and troubleshooting here in this public thread so that others with the same questions can see what we try.

Thanks Todd!
I deleted the driver (Intel 5/27/15 9.17.10.4229,) rebooted (keeping it offline,) a native windows driver installed, but the display settings could not be set to the correct size, so everything was huge....I updated the driver via auto-detect, and the issue has not recurred.
You the King of the Support Game Todd!

I have had this same problem for some time. I followed your process and got the same native driver issue (display size). I went back online and updated the driver, but the Intel ...4229 driver was reinstalled. The problem returned. It appears to happen when on battery power but rarely or not at all on AC power. Touchpad use may also make it more frequent.

The cure for this problem is to go back to Windows 7 and stop the insanity! The driver does not work in windows 10. If your talented you can force install the old driver but since windows 10 auto updates every couple of days it will update back to the non working driver. It's a viscous cycle. Just go back to Win 7 and enjoy life...

OK so after I updated to windows 10 a while ago with my XPS 13, I7 2367M processor from 2012, my screen has random spots that come and go everywhere. When I move the window around with the spots, they stay constant. If I resize the screen, move the cursor over the spots, they move or go away. This is a software problem that has to do with graphics memory corruption.
Any solutions?
