XPS 14 - Wifi Issue and copy paste issue

Hi,

I bought my XPS 14 on the 16th of Jan 2013, reported the wireless issue on the 21th of Jan

I am facing the same issue that many reported already :

Instable connection
Very poor performace further than 3 meters
Even disturb the wireless network itself ( other user starts to have issue when my computer is trying to connect)

I am having this issue with the router at my office and with the router at home

Since I reported the issue we tried a lot of things with the support :

Resintall the drivers several time
update the bios
Change the wireless card

after several hours spent with support, they sent over a technician to change the wireless card. The first one came wihtout the card looked at my computer and told me that maybe 3 to 4 parts needed to be change like wireless card, hard drive, etc.. that he will recomend Dell awho told they will send an other technician to change the wireless card., the tecnician came at my place just change the wireless card, and then leave, I told him the he problem wasn t fixed, he told that should be a problem software and he couldn t handle it).

Last step they told me they will send me a USB stick with my OS on it so I can re install from scratch my computer. I told them that I am facing this issue since day 1, and that going back to factory setting may not help, ...

I am still waiting for the USB stick, but I don t know if I want to waste 3 hours of my time to backup and reinstall everything if it doesn t fix the problem.

According to what I ve read in this forum it seems to be a design issue since a lot of people are facing this problem with brand new XPS 14.

I forgot to say something funny : the support consider my computer was shipped in November and is not brand new ... my invoice from Amazon is from the 01/16 and so is my warranty, so it is kind of weird.

Long story short, I don t know what to do anymore, I bought this computer to work, it was supposed to be a premium laptop (1300$) but if wifi is working so poorl I can t use it for work... I am very disapointed.

Any advice are welcome

Forgot to talk about my copy paste issue,

very often, the copy paste short cut ( Ctrl +C and Ctrl + V) doesn t work properly,

it happens very often between windows explorer and outlook or between chrome and windows explorer , or between ...

Most of the time I have to use the click right menu to copy,

this issue is weird because inconsistent, I couldn t find a pattern.

I report that issue to dell who told me they take care of it after my wireless issue, they didn t want to deal with 2 issue at a time...

any advice welcome

I am also facing the same issue with my new xps 14.. the wifi is very unstable..

bought last week, I thought its a very nice ultrabook with all the reviews in the net I read.

But when I bought it, from day 1 - the wifi is keep on disconnecting..tried to call thesupport, but when I read all the feedback, it seem useless if I will try to call and ask for DELL's help.

is it possible to refund and give me back my money? Im very disappointed with this laptop...

I am also having the copy paste issue with a brand new XPS13. Any advice or response from Dell? I am going to return this machine. It is too annoying the copy paste issue.
