Have you updated your firmware to the latest 1.1.15 anyway?

I would do that first just to make sure you are up to date, and then try again. I have the same machine as you, and I do not have any speed throttling issues since I updated.

I have to say Dell's support or should I say severe lack of support beyond a joke, I have been emailing tech and customer support over the last 3 months regarding this issue, along with many others I have with this laptop. I've had nothing but issue's since this thing arrived.

The shear magnitude of issue's my laptop has has tarnished Dell's reputation in my eyes.

  • 8% battery wear level, the laptop is hardly used...
  • Overheating/severe throttling during gaming
  • Screen randomly flickers
  • Screen randomly changes hue (goes purple)
  • Mouse pad doesn't work properly at times (its as if its sticking or not picking up movements)
  • HDMI Audio cuts out intermittently - Tested multiple cables-

Everything is up to date in terms of software, drivers, BIOS, heck I've even done a factory restore.

I don't want a repair, engineer or even a replacement, I simply want my £1800 back, its beyond a joke, no response from support, Due to my work hours I simply don't have time to call, hence why I've been emailing, there's no excuse for them not to reply, the option to email is everywhere, other than getting a confirmation message I receive nothing else.

If Dell's customer support ages are on here, Please arrange for a full refund to be processed, as it stands the laptop is just an expensive paper weight, its hardly been used due to the issue's mentioned above!!

Have you gotten a solution to this issue yet? I'm having the same problems and I don't know what I should do. Thanks!
