XPS L502X: Issues with Windows 8.1 installation

As is evident from different forums, all the issues regarding Win 8.1 installation on XPS L502X has been resolved through Windows update or driver updates. For example, the webcam issue was resolved by a Windows update in March 2014.  Similarly, the NVIDIA GT 525M driver issue was resolved by an updated driver which can be downloaded from this link: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/66702/en-us.

Still Dell website shows that XPS L502X does not support Win 8.1 as can be seen from this link: http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN128811/en#XPS

Why is it so? Why is Dell not publishing the updated driver list for Win 8.1 for XPS L502X on their website?

Kindly explain. I need to be sue before investing Rs 10000 on Windows 8.1 OS.
