Hello

I just purchased above laptop with the "slim and light LED diplay"
How can I determine if I actually received this upgrade, by actual construction.

Thank you in advance

Quickest way to determine if you have an LED display in your notebook:

You should have 15 distinctive levels of brightness adjustment w/notebooks equipped with LED, from dimmest to brightest as adjusted by FN+Brightness UP/DOWN

15 brightness levels confirmed on my Studio and Mini notebooks.  Both equipped with LED displays.

Non-LED CCFL type LCD's usually only have 7 brightness levels avail with inverters required for CCFL...

Does anyone know if the older m1330 LED models also have 15 levels of brightness?  I got my M1330 last year and using Function+up/down, I only get 7 distinct levels.  But looking at my order, it listed the following:

320-5583 13.3 Inch Wide Screen WXGA TL WLED Backlit LCD with Camera, XPS M1330

Also, looking at the part descriptions, it lists this part:

RP774 Liquid Crystal Display, 13.3 WXGA, Video Elec. Stds. Assoc. TLF, TMD

Is the RP774 the LED display?

Thanks,

Jerry
