change OEM-Partition from primary to logical
Hi
I have Notebook Vostro V131.
There are 3 factory primary partitions:
1.) 100MB OEM-Partition
2.) 14,65GB Recovery Partition
3.) 283,34GB OS Partition
Is it possible and how it works to change OEM-Partition from primary to logical?
BTW I need an additional primary and some logical partitions for other OS like freeBSD, div. linux distros etc.

If you just need additional logical partitions shrink the 280Gbyte OS partition.Then use the unallocated space to create extended and logical partitions.
If you want to have another primary and above mentioned extended partition you need to get rid of one of the existing primary ones(I am not aware of any other solution) and the ONLY option would be Dell's recovery partition.I do not know what happens if you delete this partition as Dell's special MBR has access to it via function keys at power up.My guess is that the system will still boot but without having a functional backup and/or Win7 recovery DVD deleting the partition is risky business.
