gaming at anything other than the most casual, lowest level, heavy video production work, demanding CAD or other graphics - you need true dedicated video chip, now exclusive the the high-end of the market - i.e., a $1,500-2,000+ gaming or workstation system.
The biggest mistake made by buyers is thinking a system with switching (hybrid) video, sold at about the $800-1200 price point, will be an acceptable gaming system -- it just won't be.
which dell laptop will be nice performance wise and graphics according to you upto 1000$ like which has better specs than dell vostro 1540.can you send me the link?
If you're going to use it as a mid-range system for multimedia, etc., it's fine. If you have gaming intentions, it will fill basic needs - but if you want to run demanding apps at full video effects (WoW, D3, etc.). it's not going to meet your expectations.
