It seems like the 'X' key might be stuck. Tap the 'X' key few times and check.
Alternatively, try the following steps and check if it works:
Click on Start -> Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center -> Make the keyboard easier to use and uncheck all the options. Click on ‘Apply’ -> Ok. Restart the computer and check.
If the issue persists, you might try to reseat the keyboard. Please refer to the service manual http://bit.ly/T2rhPa
There are no known issues with this system model. Since, there are no stuck keys, may I know the results after changing the settings in Control Panel -> Ease of Access -> Ease of Access Center.
Also, check if the issue persists in Safe mode. Restart the computer -> tap F8 key 4-5 times -> Select Safe Mode.
You may also try to create a new user account and check.
Click on Start -> Control Panel and under User Accounts and Family Safety click on ‘Add or remove user accounts’
Now click on ‘Create a new account’
Type in the name of the user and select the type of account as ‘Standard user’ or ‘Administrator’
I have a similar issue. I have had my n5110 for a couple of years now and it has always been a problem with it. My bet is that it's nothing we can actually fix and is probably down to a faulty batch of chassis which causes stress on or slightly twists the keyboard, however, I am interested to know if you ever fixed the problem for yourself? I disabled the quick launch of Windows Mobility Centre, as that was something that kept opening by itself due to the same hardware/manufacturing problem. After this though, I will NEVER BUY DELL again. It's clearly poor manufacturing and cheap parts. And also, where has the support been to help solve the problem you posted 4 months ago? Just a couple of rubbish guesses at stuck keys and the offering of running it in Safe Mode?! What the hell is that going to do?
Like I said, if you found a solution I'd be very grateful to know what it was! Or even if you never found a solution, that would still be helpful to know.

Hi raina,
Try using the keyboard on a notepad.
Also, Check if it happens in Safe mode with Networking. Restart the computer and tapping F8 on dell logo. Select Safe mode with networking).
Check if the “X” key is stuck on the keyboard.
Awaiting your response!

"raina123"
Does your laptop have additional special keys (independent of the keyboard) ?
If so and one of them opens up Windows Mobility Center it might be possible that something is wrong with that key.
This special key "simulates" the key combination FN + X which normally runs the Mobility Center.
This is just an idea.......
By the way - the link you included refers to your own thread !
