latitude e6400 brightness and power issues..??
hello everyone,
my latitude e6400 which is one year old starting giving me some hard time:
the brightness (usually on battery) will shift from dark to light to dark to light...this shifting happens gradually and lasts about 2 seconds each time, and then stay on either dark or light. this happens every 10-30 minutes. i hope you understood what i meant.
in addition, 3 things stopped working which may be realted:
- once on ballanced power scheme the brightness used to dim after 2-5 minutes, now it doesn't even though the preference is still set to do that.
- once on ballanced power scheme, when i used to pull out the charger the brightness automaticlly was reduced as planned. now it seems to not recognize it running on battery thus does not dim. again, preferences not changed.
- the blue light at the tip of the charger which used to lit once plugged in to electricity does not light anymore.
i would appreciate any concrete help,

I have similiar problem------The Blue light goes out when I plug it in---If I gently plug it half way in then it will turn on the power supply light on the lap topo and the screen brightens--that is good for a few minutes then it goes out including blue light on the charger, so I unplug charger and plug it in again Blue light comes on and it does the same, on occassion the Error message will pop up and tell me I need to use a 90 Watt Charger which I am using ------If I can keep blue light on it will run normal and charge battery ---Anyone one have any ideas ---Do I need a new Battery??? Does my Charger have a short in it?
