I might have came across something when I tried to "debug" the situation, I uninstalled by avg antivirus program and had the network cards removed and unininstalled from the system. I reinstalled my network cards and used a different driver. The reason is because the original driver package cd burned in a fire and I had to get the driver from the company's web archive. It's that there were 2 different drivers for the windows 2000, professional and nt 4.0. Apparently I had unintentionally installed the WRONG one. This caused a stop error caused the network cards to fail. Furthermore, I had check carefully over the event viewer using my home pc to search the help for the items that I did not understand. Thank goodness for the net. I managed to have the windows running again in full effect, and have the antivirus re-installed. This also chewed up the memory because I have 2 different version from avg 7.5 and 8.0. I cannot use the bin files from the 8.0 for the 7.5. Through trial and error it is running and doing good. But for the fun of it, I will return and post the event log for all of you to exam and bring you opinion to it.
OK, the little monster is back again, this time I managed to get a copy of the event files and I need a little help on this one. Where can I post the files for anyone to take a look at? This time, It's the 3rd time that I keep getting a stop error code for it.
