vostro 1320 memory upgrade
installed a 4gb memory upgrade. But when I check my system it still says there are two 2gb memory cards, not one 2gb and one 4gb. I upgraded to increase speed of watching videos, load for 10-15 seconds play then load again. Anyway it is still behaving the same.
How do I get the system to recognize the additional memory?

Hi npcvostros,
The system might be having this issue due an incompatible memory or incorrectly memory reseated, so to check this lets follow the below steps:
(1) Your computer supports 800MHz SODIMM memory, if any other memory is used it wouldn’t work.
(2) Try using the computer with just the 4GB RAM and check if it works.
(3) If it works then remove both the memories and interchange the slots and check.
If this also doesn’t work I request you to reply with more information about the memory module and I can help you.
