You should pose your concern about what impact it would be to the application vendor, as well as the same LUN ID question.. You can make your changes in the background and would allow it, but then once you try to 'bring it in' the host environment, there is no telling what will happen - especially "live." In addition to this, will need to ensure the correct port flags are set to present to this platform, as well as setting appropriate reservation bits on the device for clustering.
Thanks for the suggestions... So, when i do the mapping of devices to the new FA ports do i need to make sure they have the same lun ID's on all the 4 FA ports or is it OK if i map on the new FA ports with different LUN ID.
If you are using PowerPath it will pick up on the Hdiskpower # so lun address should not matter. If you are not using PowerPath then I am not sure on the lun #; ideally I would try to make them the same.

Hello Vimad,
You dont mention what multipathing software you are using?
Also the connectivity documents on Support -> Tech Docs and Adviseries -> Host Connectivity -> Aix Host Connectivity Guide may be of some assistance.
Hope this helps
